Presented on behalf of the Australian HR Institute ACT Employee (AHRI) / Industrial Relations Network

What exactly is expected of HR leaders in 2026?

Psychosocial risk is no longer a “nice-to-have” wellbeing conversation. It’s a leadership, compliance and governance issue. And HR leaders are right in the middle of it.

Expectations have shifted fast. Regulatory scrutiny has sharpened. Many organisations are still unclear on what ‘good’ actually looks like in practice.

This session cuts through the noise.

In conversation with Marie Boland, Chief Executive Officer of Safe Work Australia, Sarah Queenan, Managing Director of Humanify HR, will unpack what HR leaders need to know – and do – to manage psychosocial risk with confidence.

You’ll leave with

Clear insight into regulator expectations for managing psychosocial hazards.

A sharper understanding of where HR leaders and organisations are most exposed.

Practical guidance on how leadership behaviour, culture and risk intersect.

Real-world markers of what defensible, human-centred practice looks like.

Greater confidence in how you advise leaders and support your organisation.

This event is for

HR practitioners and senior HR leaders
Workplace relations and WHS professionals
People and culture leaders
APS, statutory authority and private sector organisations
